"Proposed" projects for 2012.Reconstruction to include: Removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalks and asphalt paving. Also includes the installation of new water main and the “lining” of the existing sewer main. New water and sewer laterals will also be installed. 1) 2 blocks of Calhoun St. from Washington to Clinton 2) 2 blocks of Palmer St. from Main to Jackson St. New Street signs installed with larger lettering and better retro reflectivity These four blocks will be totally reconstructed with new curb and gutter, sidewalk, blacktop, water and sewer. 3) We are also planning to "route and crack fill" approximately 15 blocks, and "chip seal" 15 blocks. This may vary depending on final cost of the projects after bidding which will take place in the spring. 4) We also try and replace or rebuild four storm sewer inlets each year 5) We'll be doing some "trip hazard" sidewalk grinding as well.
