Students will be volunteering with the Joplin organization to help the families.

Healthy Living Group
1400 East Side Road
Platteville, WI –Southwest Health Center’s Diabetes Healthy Living Group will discuss the importance of activity and exercising safely at the support group’s regular meeting on Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. Held at 1400 East Side Road in Platteville, the session is free and open to the public.
The Healthy Living Group provides an educational forum for people who are living with diabetes. During the session Southwest Health Center Physical Therapist, Kerri Sue Stange, will discuss how regular activity can improve general health and how to select exercise options to meet individual needs. Her discussion will include the PowerPoint presentation, “Increasing Activity through Healthy Steps”. Kerri Sue has managed the Rehabilitation department at Southwest Health Center for the past 12 years.

Additionally, area Lions Clubs are assisting anyone who lacks transportation to the diabetes group meetings. Those needing transportation are urged to contact Andrews.
