The City of Cuba City recently received a grant in the amount of $3,767.00 from the Dubuque Racing Association. The grant was used to upgrade and replace some of the existing portable and mobile radios to meet the new narrowband requirement due to take effect on or before January of 2013. Also replaced was the “base radio” at City Hall and the “repeater” which is located on the water tower. Both will now be “narrowband and P25” compliant. These radio enhancements will help in the day-to-day operations of the City while bringing our radio system into compliance. This will also ensure the capability of communicating with other agency’s in case of an emergency. Our thanks to the Dubuque Racing Association for their support of this project.
