Cuba City offers the family-oriented and economic benefits of small town living with the convenience of big city amenities within just miles. We are a mere 17 miles from Dubuque, Iowa, and just 21 miles from the Dubuque Regional Airport, which offers service to any destination. We are also just 80 miles from Madison, our state capitol. You will find everything you need from shopping, groceries, antiques, dining and more in and near Cuba City.

Cuba City Schools not only provides an excellent learning experience in academics with its low student-to-teacher ratio, but it has also been credited with the State Excellence Award, and has earned many honors, trophies and state titles through its outstanding sports programs. You will also find convenient continuing education and health care options, as there are eight colleges and universities and four hospitals within 20 miles of Cuba City. Recreation abounds as we are surrounded by the Mississippi River, Wisconsin River, state parks, snowmobile trails, and ski resorts just to name a few local recreational activities.

For anyone looking to relocate, Cuba City offers the safe convenience of small town living and is just minutes from where one may be employed.

Visit us today and see why we are proud to live in “The City of Presidents.”

Gary

The City of Cuba City recently received a grant in the amount of $3,767.00 from the Dubuque Racing Association. The grant was used to upgrade and replace some of the existing portable and mobile radios to meet the new narrowband requirement due to take effect on or before January of 2013. Also replaced was the “base radio” at City Hall and the “repeater” which is located on the water tower. Both will now be “narrowband and P25” compliant. These radio enhancements will help in the day-to-day operations of the City while bringing our radio system into compliance. This will also ensure the capability of communicating with other agency’s in case of an emergency. Our thanks to the Dubuque Racing Association for their support of this project.

Joey Anderson, Director of Community Relations for the Dubuque Racing Association is presenting the check to Gary Droessler Director of Public Works.
